Chris Marrinan started drawing in 2nd grade, and never looked back. He attended the College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California before transferring to the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, from which he graduated with a BFA in Illustration. While doing commercial illustration, Chris got his first comic work drawing Champions for Eclipse Comics. This led to more work in comics, when Champions were launched in the new Hero Comics, now known as Heroic Publications. Soon Chris was drawing comics almost exclusively, and began getting work at both DC and Marvel, where he was a regular artist on such titles as Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Nova, (which he wrote and drew), Wolverine, and Dr. Strange. Chris has also drawn comics for Dark Horse, Moonstone, and Image Comics. At Image, he drew Wildstar, and two of his own creations, HeadHunters, and Ms Fortune.
In recent years, Chris has branched out into storyboards for both film and advertising, and teaching art classes, while continuing to draw comics.
